Access after a course ends or materials are retired

Past courses — You can typically access a student-use course on the Inactive tab for 11.5 months after the course ends. After that, Pearson automatically deletes it. Before a course is deleted, export student grades and copy your course to use for a future term. How to copy your course
Retired courses — Pearson might retire older editions after a new edition becomes available.
Very occasionally, if you are using an old edition, retirement means the course end date you set is changed, shortening the time that students can access the course. After the course retirement date, student course access ends, and you cannot change the course end date or copy the course.

How do I find new Pearson materials that fit my curriculum?
- Copy to a new edition to use up-to-date materials.
After you create the new course, copy your customizations from the prior course to the new course.
- If no new edition is available, search the MyLab and Mastering catalog to find other offerings.
- Contact your Pearson support rep to learn about other Pearson content for your curriculum.
Some retired MyLab or Mastering titles might be offered through Pearson Revel. Explore the Revel catalog or ask your Pearson rep about Revel.
Can I change the course end date after the course ends?
To extend student access after a course ends, edit course details to change the course end date.
You can choose any date up to the retirement date or the maximum course end date listed in the course details.
How long can I access instructor and coordinator courses?
You can access instructor courses and coordinator courses for up to five years after you create them, but you can’t copy them if the course materials are retired.
Can I delete a course if I don't need it?
You can delete any course you created.
